  • We are both licensed k-12 teachers in Connecticut and New York.​

  • We both hold a Master's Degree in Education, specializing in Instruction and Curriculum Design. 

  • ​We are both CPR certified.

  • Kurt is proud to have served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. 

  • In addition to teaching, Kayla is a songwriter, and is excited to share that she is currently recording her original album. 

  • What do I need to prepare?
    Please fill out the Registration Form here. Note: Payment is submitted through Carriage Barn Arts Center. Campers must bring water and lunch. That's it on your part! All other materials will be provided at camp!
  • What does Arrival and Dismissal look like?
    Arrival begins at 8:45 am. A Kx2 instructor will sign the camper in when they arrive. Dismissal is at 3:00 pm. On the first day, a staff member will verify that the authorized pick-up matches the given information. *A staff member must be notified if the authorized pick-up will be different than previously noted.
  • How do I sign my child up for Summer Camp?
    1. Sign up online and reserve your child’s spot Complete the Registration Form 2. Take advantage of our discounts Early Bird Discount Family Plan Discount for all siblings of the first child registered at full price Note: Payment is submitted through Carriage Barn Arts Center.
  • What are the dates/times for Summer Camp?
    Summer Camp runs for 2 weeks. You may sign up for one week, but we'd love to have you for both! Week 1 Disney: July 8 - 12 Week 2 Taylor Swift: July 15 - 19 Workshop runs every weekday (Monday-Friday) from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
  • Where is the Summer Camp located?
    We are happy to share that our Summer Camp is located at and sponsored by the wonderful Carriage Barn Arts Center! 681 South Avenue Waveny Park New Canaan, CT 06840
  • How much does Summer Camp cost?
    Early Bird Discount (sign up by April 1): 1 week $574 / 2 weeks $1,100 Regular Sign up: 1 week $624 / 2 weeks $1,200 *Family Plan Early Bird (For Additional Child): $524 *Family Plan Regular (For Additional Child): $574 A great price for all that's offered!   • What is the daily schedule for students?
    An example of the daily schedule can be found below! *Show each Friday at 2:00 for parents/families!
  • How do you accommodate children with food allergies?
    On the Registration Form, it is extremely important that families notify us if the child has any medical conditions such as allergies, asthma, diabetes or other conditions. Kx2 Music and Carriage Barn Arts Center will ensure a safe environment for all.
  • What if my child gets injured?
    Carriage Barn Arts Center and Kx2 Music will have multiple staff members on site every day during Camp. In addition, our staff is certified in CPR/First Aid/Responding to Emergencies and will take whatever steps necessary to administer care and/or obtain emergency medical care.
